New sessions of Hatha Yoga will begin at the Newport Recreation Center the week of March 3. A variety of classes will be available to suit different needs. Instructor Jean Volk teaches many traditional Iyengar as well as anusara poses in a flowing meditative approach.

Circumstances landed them in Juvenile Hall and many are angry. Some have been traumatized by violence. Some are coming off addictions. Just about all worry about what is next in their lives. Nancy May teaches yoga in Elgin to Edgewater by Del Webb residents and Abbott Middle School teachers. The 56-year-old St. Charles resident also leads classes at The Centre of Elgin and on-site for employees of DSM Desotech Inc. and Richardson Electronics Ltd. Earlier this month, she was asked to lead a class for St. Charles North High School's boys track team.
